Troon Ferry Port Information: |
| The Clyde resort of Troon is a tidy and affluent centre, and home of the Royal golf course where the British Open has been played many times. The beach is one of the biggest in Scotland with shallows which stretch far out. A new catamaran service to Ireland has recently been added to the harbour. Just off-shore is Lady Isle, a bird sanctuary.
Getting There
By Car
Located just north of Ayr & Prestwick on the West coast of Scotland, the Port of Troon is approached from the A78 from Irvine to the north & from the A77 from Ayr, or from Kilmarnock to the west. Follow the signs to the Ferry Port. |
